「最近は，給食のときに「いただきます。」と言わない学校があるんだね。給食費を払ってるから「いただいている」わけではないと，保護者からクレームがあったそうです。

ちなみに，保護者からのクレームで「いただきます」というのを止めた学校は，その代わりに，給食開始の笛を吹くことにしたそうです。

受け入れる学校側も意味分からん。命を頂いてるんだから、いただきます。と命に対して敬意を払っているのであって、学校と保護者のみの狭い世界観で「いただきます」と使っているのでは無い。学校側が保護者の要望を受け入れる事で、「いただきます」という広くて大きな言葉を狭く意味付けしている。
